Aubrey at 2 Months

Miss Aubrey is now over 2 months old! It was actually 2 weeks ago while we were in Disney. We’ve had quite a bit going on over here and I’m just now able to share some of her 2 month progress photos. I went back to work this week and so far everyone has survived! Brett even took both of them to the park today and Aubrey has been doing so well with drinking from a bottle. Since I’m only part time right now, it’s only a small adjustment and it hasn’t really even hit me yet that I’m back and all the changes that will occur. Expect some dramatic post about it in the future once it hits me….

I love this little My First Halloween onesie her Nana gave her….she doesn’t seem as impressed.

I am also so so so happy to report that she is sleeping through the night in her own crib without waking up! I am beyond elated, since Trent still has yet to do that. I definitely did a few things differently with Aubrey. After a few days of trial and error after she was born, I just decided to put her in her crib in her room and I slept on the futon in her room…for my convenience, mostly, but I felt that the easier it was for me, the more likely I’d stick with it. For a couple of weeks, she would wake up twice, then once a night for a few weeks, then last week I started sleeping back in my own bed and she has slept through the night since (12 hours last Thursday night!).

One thing I think has helped is that she has found her thumb and become a thumb-sucker. Trent never was and we never really tried to give either kid a pacifier, for fear of having a 5 year old with a pacifier. But she likes it and I feel like it relaxes her….it’s also the cutest thing ever.

She’s not the biggest fan of the swing, but sometimes she will fall asleep in it, but never for long.

She also wants to be held and she wants you to stand while you’re holding her…I will never understand how they know when you are sitting. One of my favorite things is when she has been laying on me asleep for a while and then I look downed she is awake and smiling at me. She loves when you stand her up and she is very talkative. We’ll have an entire conversation consisting of “goo” lol.
