North Florida Fair 2012

As a nice ending to our busy Saturday last week (we had already Here and a Here), we went with our friends to the North Florida Fair…another item on the bucket list!

 

 

As soon as we arrived, we headed straight to the circus!

 

It was already packed to the walls in there, but we found some seats and waited for the show to start. Trent was ready!

This circus was no Ringling Brothers, but it was free with admission so it’s ok in my book.

Trent, on the other hand, didn’t make it through his first circus. For the 2nd time today, he passed out in my lap. When you’re tired, you’re tired, and this baby must’ve been exhausted!

Thankfully, the circus was almost over when he fell asleep, so we put him in the stroller to finish his nap while we ate dinner. Then we went to the petting zoo!

That donkey thought Trent was nom-worthy, but don’t worry, we didn’t let Trent touch or be touched by anything. He just looked around at everything and was so curious of all this stuff that was new to him.

“Chick-Fil-A?”

“More my size, Ma!”

Then it was time for the pig races…oh yeah, we’re in the South people!

Then we walked around to look at all the rides. Us old folks didn’t ride anything, just watched all the youngins getting their brains sloshed around. Ah the good ol’ days…I remember being so excited to ride rides like these, now all I can think about is getting sick and the ride breaking while I’m on it. Except the swings…I have never wanted to ride the swings. They scare me!

Trent lasted all of 2 seconds in the stroller before wanting to get out, so I carried him most of the time while the stroller carried drinks and camera equipment.

Once he was out of the stroller, he was a happy wide-eyed baby looking at all the bright lights and action.

We made one last stop at the stand of fried deliciousness, aka fried desserts, for my obligatory fried Twinkie, while Brett got a fried elephant ear. What’s a Fair without some greasy, fried goodies that have a week’s worth of calories in them?

After we enjoyed our goodies, we headed home to get some rest after a long and busy but very fun day. Maybe Trent will be able to partake in some more fun at next year’s Fair!
