Halloween Skeleton Meat & Cheese Platter

Brett’s ideas for food at the Halloween party this year were simple, but very creative! We knew we wouldn’t have much time to grocery shop or prepare food since we were out of town for most of the week, so simple was the name of the game. One of the first ideas he had was this skeleton meat & cheese platter!

2014 Halloween Party-1000

We already had the white dish, bought a plastic skeleton, and used Hormel meat & cheese party platters for the rest! The platters come with the meats, cheese and crackers sealed and pre-cut, ready to be unwrapped and placed in the platter and enjoyed. It couldn’t get any easier.

Just stuff the ribs full of the various meats and everyone has to pull them out to eat them. EWW so grossly yummy!

It was definitely a hit – we went through two entire platters! I liked how we didn’t have to cut the meat or cheese and that the crackers already came with it.

Our plastic skeleton came from a store, but here is a similar one! 🙂

I absolutely love this. I was wondering what size the skeleton is. I would like to make this for my two Grandchildren’s classrooms. Where did you buy it??? Thanks so much for helping. I thought this was genius!!!

If it helps. I am doing this as well for Halloween party too. I just bought the skeleton and platter at Target. Her platter might be a tad longer than mine. But the platter is Threshold brand $20.00 and the poseable skeleton was $15.00.

I hope you don’t mind (thephotographerswife) for me chiming in. Love yours by the way.

I found the skeleton at Walmart for $10. bought the meats and cheeses pre cut and crackers at smart and final. planning to use the little smokie sausages with bbq sauce for part of it (looks more like intestines!)
