Parties with friends at our house used to almost guarantee we would be playing some sort of group singing or dancing video game…and I always found it funny how I would jump at the chance to be the one to sing, while everyone else played the instruments, but yet I always chicken out when it comes to getting up on a stage for karaoke. One day, I will be brave and bite the karaoke bullet…probably on a cruise ship where I know absolutely no one, but for now, I will enjoy singing in the privacy of my own home or car.
Because I like to sing and dance and want Trent to feel comfortable doing the same, I was so happy for him to get to try out a best-selling toy from KidzLane…the Kids Portable Sing-A-Long Music Player!

- Kids Sing Along CD-MP3 player & USB music port, could also play WMA audio format
- Anti-Skip protection, 3 digit LED display, High output speaker sound system
- Fully programmable, choose your desired tracks, random play, intro play, repeat play
- Sing-Along dual microphones with ON/OFF switch & a separate microphone volume control knob

Trent knew it was for him and kept handing it to me to open while I was trying to take a photo of the box (doesn’t he know mommy has to take a photo for the blog?! LOL). I was surprised at how heavy-duty this toy was, so even though it was recommended for ages 5+, I knew it would be able to withstand my toddler’s idea of playtime. He accidentally knocked it over and the skip protection prevented the cd from skipping.

It offers three options for playing music….CD, MP3 and USB, so no matter what level of technology you currently find yourself at, you can find something to play and sing to. Trent has a few favorite songs from some movies/shows he watches often, so it will be fun to download them and play them on here to sing along to.

The buttons are large and displayed on the front, making it easy for anyone to use.

Perhaps what Trent liked the most was being able to amplify his voice, even without any music. He was making animal sounds and calling out names…he thought it was hilarious. I imagine as he gets older and recognizes and likes more songs, he will find it even more fun to sing loudly for all to hear.
We chose a few cds to play and noticed how great the sound quality was. Even when we just used it to talk without any music playing, our voices projected crystal clear and there was no static.

Of course, when I tried to sing and get him to sing with me, he wanted no part of that…I’m wondering if I should take a hint. After all, kids are the most honest about these kinds of things. He did like having a conversation with me or daddy, so I guess as long as we leave the singing to him, we should be ok? Since there are two microphones, he can have fun playing with friends or his sister when she is older.
What I love about KidzLane toys is that most of them are offered on Amazon and ship free with Prime Membership!
