Family Beach Day July 2013

We had some family in from out of town and everyone decided to go to the beach together last Monday. Of course, I had to work, but they weren’t leaving until 10am, so I went to work then asked to leave early…score one for vacation time!

As expected, Trent wanted NOTHING to do with the sand or the ocean. Every time I would go to put him down, he would lift up his legs as high as he could. Every time I walked near the water, he would whine. Luckily, we had seen a pin on Pinterest several weeks ago and brought a shower curtain to the beach to make Trent his own little pool.

You just dig a hole as deep as you want in the sand, lay the shower curtain down, then fill it up with water from the ocean. Trent was a little hesitant at first, but we threw in some toys and he stayed in there long enough to get little pruny hands and feet.
