Random Happenings

Here are some recent random happenings from probably the last 2 weeks or so.

We’ve decided that we’re pretty much in for it now. Trent has officially left the confines of the floor play mat.

Crawling

We have our baby proofing gear ready except for a couple things we had to buy from Amazon. I’ll post more about it soon.

He is fully in charge of his bottle and has even found a new spot to enjoy meals…his highchair!

He’s doing great at drinking through a straw, too.

He’s been sitting in the big boy chairs at restaurants.

If you look closely, you’ll see the seatbelt dangling behind the chair. That’s because Mommy didn’t even see it and Daddy had to tell her about it once he got to the table. Bad Mommy, BAD!

I’ve been randomly working out…random being the word of the day. The weather has been getting nicer, so on days when all the stars align, I’ll take Trent for a run/walk in the jogging stroller and when he’s content playing on the floor, I may bust out the weights.

Workout

He might be trying to tell me to do better, since he’s mastered some yoga poses. “Mom, do it like this!”

Trent does much better in the stroller now, so that helps us feel better about our upcoming Disney World trip. I adore this photo Brett sent me when they went for a walk during the day. He looks so happy…”Let’s go Dad, I’m ready!”

Nicer weather means more outside time. We took the opportunity to wash our cars while Trent played on a big blanket on the lawn. He loved the change of scenery.

Trent Outside

We bought his first toothbrush. He’s got two little teeth and it’s never too early to start taking care of them. He doesn’t object to me doing it, but he usually has a stunned look on his face when I first start. Of course, it had to be a Disney brush.

Brett had a certificate to Picaboo, so he made me a calendar. I now have 3 calendars at my desk at work. If that’s not OCD, I don’t know what is.

Speaking of work, I forgot my water bottle one day, so I decided to test a theory of whether drinking from a red Solo cup would make it feel more like a party and therefore, more fun. It didn’t work.

I’m not usually one to get all mushy, but this made me smile real big. Not only does Brett make soup for my lunches (one batch of soup lasts a month…it’s awesome) but one day I woke up to my entire lunch prepared and ready to go and he’s been doing it all this week even though he’s been so busy with photography stuff. It saves me so much time in the morning…I just grab and go! (and no we don’t steal Chick-Fil-A mayo, we had one leftover from the last trip lol)

Lunch

I’ll end this post with one of my favorite things ever. Cute chubby baby feet.

  1. Two things. What kind of highchair is that? And the stroller, too.

  2. Happy child = happy family and round and round…:)
