August Sponsor Spotlight & Post Round-Up

Before I get into our August round-up, I want to share some great news with you all.

I have been working with for the past few months, contributing a couple of posts and lots of WDW photos (from Brett, of course). He had the amazing idea to start a WDW Magazine…and it hit shelves today (via the Apple store – available on the iPad for now, other formats hopefully coming soon!). I contributed an article about Trent’s 1st WDW trip and tips for bringing a baby for the 1st time. There’s also several of Brett’s photos in there (I think one of his photos is scheduled to be on the cover in a few issues!). If you’re a WDW fan, go check it out!

Onto our August post round-up!

We were a part of our biggest giveaway yet, courtesy of Yummi Pouch and several other brands. Along with the giveaway, we also reviewed our own Yummi Pouch set by filling them up and letting Trent enjoy! A great way for your child to get in a healthy snack while on the go!

We reviewed a Swimways Sea Squirts Life Jacket and gave one away to a lucky reader. What a cute life jacket that kids will actually want to wear while helping them learn to swim/be safe in the water.

We reviewed some delicious coffee from Coffee Bean Direct, showed you how to use a Keurig machine without using a K-cup and gave 1 lucky reader a pound of the flavor of their choosing. They have so many flavors to choose from shipped right to your door!

We reviewed a Chimpancheez camera companion and gave one away to a lucky reader. The winner even contacted me after receiving it to say her daughter will be using it on dark rides when they go to Disney World soon…what a great idea!

We reviewed a Critter Zone air purifier. Anyone with pets that loves that “Open windows all day” fresh and clean smell will love this product.

We reviewed the new flavors of Green Giant Veggie Chips. Tasty and better for you than regular potato chips!

We made some delicious Herb Tuna Wraps using Starkist Tuna Creations Pouches.

We highlighted our too-easy-that-this-post-is-ridiculous dinner with a salad and sandwich using Hormel sandwich meats. Sandwiches don’t have to be boring.

We continued Disney-travaganza in August with the rest of our Spring WDW trip report!

Day 4 included Trent’s first limo ride, too-cute-for-words character interactions, a visit to Epcot and a delicious buffet dinner .

Day 5 was the day we were looking forward to the most…Magic Kingdom!! We recorded the entire day, so check out our video too! You’ll feel tired from all that walking afterward 😉

Day 6 included some empty park photos, a buffet breakfast with character interaction photos that always bring a smile to my face and Illuminations.

First Disney Trip-490

Day 7 was our last day (boooo) but we enjoyed taking photos around Art of Animation. There’s also a video of our entire trip – check it out!

We went to the beach (St. George Island) with family – and this video happened!

I got a little more personal and talked about my experience pumping/nursing to 1 year, with a little cost comparison.

We made a delicious snack for Trent: Pineapple and cream cheese finger sandwiches!

We revamped the backyard with new stairs and a new rock walkway in Adventures in Homeownership: Part B.

Continuing with our homeownership adventures, we bought a solar blanket for the pool. Check out the temperature results!

Here’s another recent & random photo post. 🙂

And finally, we took a trip to one of the larger parks in our area and took some photos of Trent having fun. That kid is so photogenic…he kills me.

I hope your August was awesome! I can’t believe we are in October already. As much as I love the holidays and pumpkins and fall desserts (and coffee – hellooooo pumpkin spice latte), I don’t want to say goodbye to my sunlight and warmth. Is it time for our vacations yet?
